The Gaming Den

I have a tough time trusting my own recollections about high school sometimes given that there were so many instances in which I didn't really have the maturity/perspective needed to catch onto the big picture right away. For example, I did get picked on ostensibly for being a nerd at first when I switched to a new school... but it was only by one person, and he turned out to be kind of a dick that nobody liked. But while the reality of the situation became obvious in hindsight, I have to admit that I did feel bummed out and bewildered by the whole thing at the time. In short, getting older isn't all roses, but I'm definitely cool with not being 14 anymore.
